Our Safety Commitment
VergEra is designed to support respectful communication, trusted learning relationships and safer participation between Mentors, Scholars and community members.
VergEra includes profiles, Discover features, Tie-Up relationships, chats, communities, learning resources, Practice Boards, Live Classrooms, ratings and reputation features.
Safety depends on appropriate platform protections, responsible moderation and responsible behaviour from every user.
VergEra may review reports, restrict harmful activity, remove content, limit account functionality or take other reasonable action where necessary to protect users, enforce platform rules or comply with applicable law.
Protect Your Account
Users are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect their VergEra accounts.
- Use a strong and unique password
- Never share your password with another person
- Never share one-time passwords or verification codes
- Keep control of your registered email address
- Do not allow another person to use your account
- Log out of devices you no longer control
- Keep your device reasonably secure
- Report unexpected account activity promptly
VergEra Support should never need your password, OTP or complete payment-card credentials to provide ordinary account assistance.
If another person asks for your password or verification code while claiming to represent VergEra, do not provide it.
Suspected Unauthorised Access
If you believe another person has accessed your VergEra account without permission, take reasonable protective action as soon as possible.
- Change your password where possible
- Protect access to your registered email account
- Log out from devices you no longer recognise or control
- Review unusual account activity
- Contact VergEra Support
VergEra may request reasonable verification before assisting with certain account-security requests.
Protect Your Privacy
Avoid publishing unnecessary sensitive information in your Learning Identity profile, communities, chats, reviews, classrooms or shared resources.
Do not publicly share:
- Passwords or verification codes
- Complete payment-card information
- Banking credentials
- Government identification numbers
- Private residential addresses
- Private authentication information
- Confidential educational or employment records
- Another person's private information without permission or lawful authority
Information that you intentionally place in public profile fields, public communities, public reviews or shared resources may be visible to other users.

Be Careful When Sharing Personal Information
Users should exercise reasonable judgement before sharing personal information with another Mentor, Scholar or community member.
Do not feel pressured to provide another user with your private phone number, home address, government identification, financial information, passwords or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Be especially cautious when another user requests personal information that is unrelated to a legitimate learning activity.
Report Harmful Content or Behaviour
When in-app reporting controls are available, users should use them to report accounts, messages, communities, reviews, resources or classroom activity that may violate VergEra rules.
Until or in addition to in-app reporting controls, safety and moderation concerns may be reported directly to:
A useful report may include:
- The username or account involved
- The relevant community, message or content
- A clear description of what happened
- Relevant screenshots where appropriate
- The date or approximate time of the incident
- Whether there appears to be an immediate safety risk
Do not alter screenshots in a way that changes their meaning.
Reports should be made in good faith. Deliberately false, malicious or abusive reporting may violate the VergEra Community Guidelines.
Block Unwanted Interaction
Where blocking functionality is available, users may block another account to restrict supported interactions with that account.
Depending on the relevant feature, blocking may restrict direct messages, connection activity or other interactions.
Blocking does not prevent VergEra from reviewing reports or taking moderation action where necessary.
Blocking should not replace reporting where another user appears to present a serious safety risk, is committing fraud, is threatening another person or is engaging in illegal or exploitative behaviour.
Harassment, Threats and Unwanted Contact
VergEra does not permit users to harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate or repeatedly contact another person after it is clear that the communication is unwanted.
Examples include:
- Repeated unwanted messages
- Threats of physical harm
- Sexual harassment
- Blackmail or coercion
- Targeted humiliation
- Sharing private information to intimidate another user
- Encouraging other users to harass a person
Users experiencing these behaviours should stop engaging where appropriate, use available blocking controls and report the behaviour to VergEra.
Recognise Scams and Fraud
Be cautious when another user requests money, credentials or sensitive personal information.
Potential warning signs include a user who:
- Requests passwords or verification codes
- Requests banking or payment-card credentials
- Promises guaranteed examination results
- Promises guaranteed admission or employment
- Demands urgent payment outside approved systems
- Claims to be VergEra staff without reasonable verification
- Sends suspicious links or files
- Requests unnecessary financial or identity information
- Offers forged certificates
- Offers leaked confidential examination material
- Requests payment to manipulate ratings or reputation
When paid VergEra subscriptions are offered through the Android application, eligible digital purchases should be completed through the purchase method presented inside the official VergEra app.
Do not send money to another user who claims that payment is required to activate an official VergEra subscription unless the payment request is clearly presented through the authorised VergEra purchase process.
Suspicious Links and Files
Users should exercise caution before opening unexpected links, documents, applications or other files sent through messages or communities.
Do not open or download content that appears designed to:
- Steal passwords
- Collect verification codes
- Install malware
- Take control of a device
- Redirect users to fake login pages
- Collect financial credentials
Suspicious links, files or accounts may be reported to VergEra Support.
Safety for Children and Young Users
VergEra does not permit sexual exploitation, grooming, abuse or endangerment of children or young users.
Users who are not legally able to consent independently should use VergEra only where permitted by applicable law and with any required involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
Young users should never be pressured to:
- Keep unsafe communication secret
- Share sexual or inappropriate photographs
- Share unnecessary private personal details
- Share passwords or verification codes
- Move a suspicious conversation to another platform
- Meet another user privately in unsafe circumstances
- Send money or financial information
- Participate in sexual or exploitative communication
Users must not groom, exploit, sexualise, threaten or inappropriately contact children through VergEra.
Serious child-safety concerns may result in immediate account restriction or termination, preservation of relevant information and reporting to appropriate authorities where required by applicable law.
Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation
VergEra has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation of children, grooming or attempts to facilitate such conduct.
Users must never:
- Create, request, upload or distribute child sexual abuse material
- Solicit sexual content from a child
- Engage in sexual grooming of a child
- Use threats or manipulation to exploit a child
- Facilitate sexual exploitation involving a child
- Encourage a child to conceal exploitative communication
Such activity may result in immediate enforcement action and may be escalated to appropriate authorities where required.
Live Classroom Safety
Users participating in Live Classrooms must behave respectfully and follow applicable VergEra rules.
During Live Classrooms:
- Join only sessions you are authorised to attend
- Follow reasonable Mentor instructions
- Use microphone permissions responsibly
- Use board permissions responsibly
- Use chat and polling tools appropriately
- Do not intentionally disrupt sessions
- Do not display unlawful or inappropriate material
- Do not record or distribute classroom activity without required permission
- Report serious unsafe behaviour or content
Mentors should manage participant, microphone and board permissions responsibly.
VergEra may restrict classroom participation where reasonably necessary to address serious disruption, abuse or safety concerns.
Practice Board Safety
Users should only upload or display materials through the Practice Board that they are permitted to use.
Do not use the Practice Board to:
- Display illegal content
- Upload malware or harmful files
- Display sexually exploitative material
- Expose another person's private information
- Harass or threaten another user
- Share copyrighted materials without legal authority
Community Safety
Community owners, moderators and members must follow the VergEra Community Guidelines.
Community moderation permissions must not be used to harass, discriminate against, exploit or unfairly retaliate against users.
VergEra may restrict, archive, suspend or remove a community where reasonably necessary because of serious safety concerns, repeated policy violations or applicable legal requirements.
Ratings and Reputation Safety
Ratings and reviews should reflect genuine experiences.
Users must not:
- Threaten another user for a favourable rating
- Use ratings to harass another person
- Create fake accounts to manipulate reputation
- Offer improper benefits for favourable reviews
- Publish unnecessary private information in reviews
VergEra may remove fraudulent or abusive ratings and may correct reputation information affected by manipulation or technical errors.
Moderation and Safety Review
VergEra may review reports and relevant information when reasonably necessary for safety, support, fraud prevention, policy enforcement or legal compliance.
Depending on the circumstances, action may include:
- Providing a warning
- Removing or restricting content
- Restricting messaging functionality
- Restricting community participation
- Restricting classroom participation
- Removing moderator or administrative permissions
- Suspending an account
- Terminating an account
- Preserving information relating to serious misconduct
- Reporting conduct to appropriate authorities where legally required
Safety decisions may consider the seriousness of the conduct, available evidence, risk to users, previous violations, repeated behaviour and applicable legal obligations.
Immediate or Emergency Situations
VergEra Support is not an emergency-response service.
If you or another person appears to face an immediate threat of physical harm or another emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service or authority.
Platform-related evidence or safety concerns may also be reported to VergEra for review.
Account Safety and Deletion
Users who no longer wish to maintain their VergEra account may request permanent account deletion.

Users should never provide their VergEra password or OTP when submitting an account-deletion request.
Privacy and Personal Data

Community Guidelines

Changes to the Safety Centre
VergEra may update this Safety Centre when safety features, moderation practices, platform functionality or legal requirements change.
Updated information will display a revised "Last updated" date.
